What does the trust do?
The Sean Dickey Young Leaders Trust is a registered charity.
The purpose of the trust is to assist young people who have shown potential as community leaders to attend courses and/or events to develop their leadership skills further. These could be things like Outward Bound, Inspiring Stories Future Leaders program, Duke of Edinburgh Award, etc. Any course applied for should be established and have a proven track record.
In particular, the trust will:

· Contribute to the cost of transport,
accommodation, and fees to attend leadership
courses or events.
· Provide other support and assistance consistent
with this charitable purpose.

To be eligible for a grant applicants should:
​
· be between 16 to 25 years old
· have volunteered in meaningful
projects in the community.
· be residents of Otago, Canterbury,
or Southland.
. be New Zealand citizens or permanent
residents.
